Strang Clinic was the world's first specialized cancer treatment clinic and the site of the world's first cancer prevention program. Founded 75 years ago, our goal is to prevent cancer by periodic health examinations for early cancer and risk factor detection, combined with education for risk factor modification, and early intervention including chemoprevention. This is the best strategy for preventing cancer, and in the process many other diseases. We have saved thousands of lives since our beginning.



Strang Clinic is presently the only program in the New York Metropolitan area providing comprehensive services on site for cancer prevention. The Clinic was initially founded by a woman for women, and a special area in the Clinic is devoted exclusively for women's services.
